IT Security Engineer

Methode Electronics Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual for a position as a?Security Engineer.? In this role, you will provide overall responsibility for supporting information security procedures that assure compliance while optimizing protections for confidentiality, integrity, and the availability of Methode?s information system.? You will be responsible for the deployment, support?and maintenance of Palo Alto systems, Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Network Security System. Our focus is on design, development and manufacture of solutions for customer applications utilizing our technical capabilities in the areas of power distribution, sensors, human-to-machine interface and testing.?Further information can be found at Methode?s website:?www.methode.com.Responsibilities:??Act as the systems engineer for Methode?s Global security systemsKeep current with ever-changing security world to ensure Methode is protected from internal and external threatsHelp deploy and maintain the Network Access Control initiativeLog monitoring of public facing systems to detect abnormalities and intrusionsRun vulnerability scans across internal and external hostsCoordinate penetration testing and application code reviewsActively participates in the following functions within IT: security regulations; physical security requirements; data classification; administrative security procedures; personnel security; security incident handling; security awareness and training; and access controlEnsure day-to-day management of all security systems and processesProvide direct support for local Firewall, WAN and LAN network connectivity (PAN) and other network devicesProvide Level-2/Level-3 support to the Methode Help Desk Group on network related issuesAssure security related issues are addressed in a timely manner and that closed problems contain appropriate information including support for offsite/remote usersProvide accurate project plans, status and time keepingAssist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning to meet future security needsAid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plansWork with IT counterparts across divisions in providing support, planning, exchange of ideas and improvementsOther duties as assigned?Qualifications:???Bachelor degree in Computer Science or applicable disciplineAt least five (5) years of applicable experienceExpert knowledge in Palo Alto Security SystemsPCNSE Certification desiredCISSP Certification desiredTalari SDWAN technologies a plusCisco WAN/LAN Administration work experienceFamiliarity with TCP/IP protocols and firewall managementGlobal support experience with emphasis on Mexico, China, and IndiaExcellent technical knowledge of Network SecurityWorking technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including TCP/IP and WindowsAbility to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessoriesAble to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides?Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skillsStrong written and oral communication skills with ability to present ideas in user-friendly languageUnderstanding of organizational goals and objectivesAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated and directed?Keen attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment?Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environmentStrong customer-service orientation?On-call availabilityOccasional travel?Methode Electronics is an equal opportunity employer.? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
